I was recently introduced to a couple good free programs and a good site for some rendering tutorials.
Photo color manipulation program… http://download.cnet.com/Tintii/3000-2192_4-10730284.html
Sketchup / rendering tutorials ….http://www.sketchupartists.org/tutorials/
and my favorite so far, a program that turns images into mostly realistic hand drawings / paintings http://www.fotosketcher.com/
http://www.collaborativedesignarch.com/
This is the original rendering from maxwell, with post done in photoshop.
This is the same image, but run though fotosketcher, and the pencil line style from sketchup overlayed on top of the image and put on the multiply layer.
The end result is a much looser feeling image with minimal extra effort.
Not sure where to comment, so I am doing it on here. I love the new blog layout! Looks sooo much better. Thanks whoever redid it
Yes, whoever redid the layout- it is awesome. Good work.
Logan, These images are really cool- that fotosketcher program looks really cool and I’m definitely going to need to check it out. The building looks great too- much cleaner than what you had shown me before. I’m probably moving to Bellingham now and wouldn’t mind finding a building like this to live in- your image sells it well!
I really love the final image. fotosketcher is amazing! I love it, how long did you mess with this image before getting the above result?
Good design too, thanks for the GTI shout out.
Great post man.
