The prompt was to design a parade of homes style house on a site in Billings. My boss did most all the design work and I did all the production drawings and rendering. We didn’t win, but it was a fun competition to work on.

I like the design of the house a lot. The graphics are really clear and concise. Nice job, portfolio worthy.
I think all of the materials on these renders came out great. The stone wall inside the house is my favorite. It is really convincing. I think the park comp chairs fit in nicely in that kitchen. Is the vegetation on the green roof over the garage rendered? That stuff is really nice, what sells it in my opinion is the shadows they are casting on the face of the garage. Really nice.
I understand your struggles fitting the building into the existing photo for the birds eye. I would have rather seen a more abstract landscape. The house looks miniature. Nice Goetz couch by the way… are you pulling these off of 3d warehouse? But all in all, some really impressive render work. you should be pretty happy with it. How many total hours did you put into the production of this?
Very nice work; very convincing. There is little left for criticism in these images (except for the miniature house, I agree) but I am quite impressed by these. I think the lighting effects in the image with the 3 part painting are great. How much of that effect was through rendering and how much through photoshop? I think the site photos you took work really nicely as viewed from the inside of the house- nothing really stands out as out of place or scale. Nicely done.
